Free Kindle Ebooks To Any Device

If you like to read, I have just found out how you can order all kinds of free kindle books from Amazon.com even if you don’t own a kindle! All you need is an ipod touch, an iphone or an ipad or nearly any other computer or internet capable device to get started.

I don’t have a kindle or iphone, but I do have an ipod touch and I’m hoping to get an ipad at some point in the hopefully not-too-distant future. First, you of all you need to get the free kindle app that you can get on itunes. You can get it here:

Next, you set up a free account on Amazon.com (This works for Canadians as well.)  You don’t need a credit card to do it. Sign up here:

Type in your email address and click on “No, I am a new customer” That will take you to a new window where you put in your address and phone number. That’s it, you’ve made an account. Now, you can just search for “free Kindle books” and can “buy” any free books just by clicking on the “buy with one-click” button.  It will deliver the book to icloud and you can retrieve it from there on your ipod, iphone or ipad.

Here’s the best part. You can sign up to get an email every day that lets you choose from specially chosen books that are promotionally free for just one day. Click here to sign up.

You can usually only choose these books for free on the same day you get the email, so you have to look each day at what is there and buy them while the price is $0. The next day if you click on them, they will have a price.

There are books for every kind of reader to choose from, young and old. I’ve gotten myself quite a selection now and I carry my library around with me everywhere. I really love to read, and it’s great that I can have access to my book whenever I want, like for when I’m waiting for the bus to come, for instance. I can plug in my earphones, start up my tunes and then click on the kindle app and read my book. It even automatically opens up to the last page I was on. How cool is that?

Amazon has a page with all their apps for Android phone or tablet, iPad, iPhone, PC, Mac, Blackberry or Windows Phone 7.

So for anyone who doesn't have an e-reader (yet), they can still collect their books and read them on their computer and once they do get an e-reader they can download their collection to it.
