To save water

A full bathtub uses a lot (about 150 litres or 40 gallons) of water!

If you take baths, make sure you put the plug in before you start the water rather than letting the water run to get hot. (You can always put in a little more hot water to get the right temperature for your bath.)

Only fill the bathtub 1/3 deep. It’s enough to get clean and still be able to play in the bubbles.

You can figure out exactly how much water your shower uses per minute by putting a pail under the shower head and turning the water on for 15 seconds.

Then measure how much water is in the pail, multiply it by 4 and that is the amount of water your shower uses per minute.

From there you can easily figure out how much water you use when you shower by timing how many minutes you stay in the shower.
