Send your old clothes to a second-hand shop, or pass on to another family to use. Old tee shirts, sheets and other soft material clothing make excellent rags when they’ve outlived their original use. Tear them into rag-sized squares and keep a bag of them handy for all sorts of cleaning jobs including dusting, washing windows or the car, painting or just as grease rags in the garage.
Kids love to dress up. Save some fancy clothes for the tickle trunk and don’t forget the scarves and jewellery to complete the ensemble. Also don’t forget about putting together halloween costumes.
